Cati is an American-Romanian, first generation immigrant. She was born in the city of Galati during Romania’s communist dictatorship.

She moved to the south of the United States at age 13 and spent her teens in North Carolina. She is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with degrees in International Studies and Romance Languages. She lived and studied in Argentina, Spain, and Romania during her undergraduate years.

Cati has traveled worldwide and found that women and minority owned businesses are amazing hidden gems that don’t always get the credit and visibility they deserve. She founded Buna Travel to create incredible vacation experiences in collaboration with phenomenal local businesses led by women and minorities.
