It is one of Africa’s largest mountain ranges many of its peaks rise above 4000 m. Mount Ras Dashen (4, 6200 m) is the highest point in Ethiopia and the Fourth highest peak in Africa is part of the Simen mountain ranges that offer a unique experience for trekkers. The mountain range’s impressive scenery, for a series of dramatic cliffs and escarpments, the beautiful alpine meadows and rugged wilderness of the high peak areas make the semen a remarkable area for trekking.
